Bookkeeper – Part Time

Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and hardworking individual, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a small to medium sized accountancy practice. You will be working collaboratively within our bookkeeping team to meet our clients bookkeeping needs and the day to day role will therefore have a focus on bookkeeping. Part of the role will also include the preparation and review of VAT returns as well as the preparation of management accounts where required by our client portfolio.

-22.5- 30 hours per week

Experience/Skills required:

  • 2 years or more practice experience
  • Strong bookkeeping knowledge of Xero and Sage
  • VAT return preparation, review and submission
  • Managements accounts preparation
  • Strong Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Keen to learn and develop new skills


  • Bookkeeping for clients
  • Liaising with clients and dealing with client queries
  • Preparing, reviewing and submitting VAT Returns
  • Preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly management information
  • Raising sales invoices for clients
