Audit
Our friendly, professional and experienced team of auditors integrate seamlessly with your business, creating as little disruption as possible.
We work hard to ensure that audit reports are useful and detailed to help guide your business and promote growth.
Why you need an audit
Even if not required by law, an audit has several benefits:
- Detailed review of accounting and control systems.
- Create opportunities for proactive business advice.
- Enhance the status of accounts for banks, lenders, HMRC, and suppliers.
- Clean audit reports make it easier to sell the company or take it public.
- Reduce the possibility of fraud.
Audits are great for seeing the inner workings of your business and steering your future decisions.
When you need a statutory audit
You will need a statutory audit if:
- You are a PLC, banking, insurance, or finance company, or a subsidiary of one.
- Your professional or trade organisation requires it.
- Your shareholders do not agree to opt out of the audit.
Small companies, including LLPs, are exempt from statutory audits if they meet two of the following conditions:
- Turnover below £10.2 million
- Balance sheet total below £5.1 million
- Fewer than 50 employees
Most subsidiary companies are also exempt if their parent company guarantees their liabilities.

Mark Dunning, ANSA Elevators
“They [audit] efficiently and work well with our in-house team as well as the Financial Controller to get the job done… The added value aspect of what FFT provides comes at the end of the audit when we’re filing accounts and planning for the future – the strategic stuff – which they are very good at.”
